Coca-Cola’s Sprite Chill Mango Citrus extension of its Chill line appears at Walmart stores ahead of an official announcement. It pairs the classic lemon-lime base of Sprite with mango-citrus notes. Available exclusively at Walmart, it comes in 12-packs of 12oz cans in both regular and zero-sugar versions, and in single 20oz bottles in a regular version. Sprite Chill launched in April 2024 as a limited-edition Cherry Lime flavor before joining the permanent lineup in spring 2025.
Nestle
Nescafé added two new variants to its Espresso Concentrated range in the UK. Mocha and Decaf are now available alongside classic, caramel, and vanilla liquid coffee concentrates, offering a convenient way to make barista-style iced coffee at home. Each bottle contains 16 servings and is intended to be mixed with milk or a plant-based alternative.
Nestlé Philippines is trying to avoid price increases for consumers despite rising global commodity costs linked to geopolitical tensions, including the ongoing Middle East conflict. Nestlé plans to absorb rising costs for as long as possible, with retail prices remaining stable at the time of reporting. Transportation and logistics costs emerged as a particular concern. Nestlé engaged with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, and cross-industry discussions are underway to protect consumers from price spikes.
Nestlé’s almost €900,000 investment in its Girona coffee production facility aims to improve energy efficiency and involves installing heat recovery systems to capture waste heat and use it to preheat water, as well as upgrading cooling and compressed air systems. The company expects to reduce energy consumption by more than 30,000 GJ per year at the plant, save more than 8,400 cubic meters of water annually and cut emissions by roughly 290 tons of CO2 equivalent. The Girona plant employs more than 900 people and exports to 43 countries.

South Korean RTD brand Brewguru entered the Australian market in 2025 with RYSE, a vodka-and-sparkling-soda drink that places a fresh lemon slice inside the can. ANZ CEO, Mikkeli Han, says Brewguru studied local consumer behavior, retailer expectations and regulatory requirements before launching, and focused on targeted rather than broad distribution. Han says RYSE is performing well, particularly with consumers trading up within the RTD category, and sold more than 2.5 million cases across Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Japan last year. Brewguru plans to expand RYSE's distribution and introduce new variants in 2026.
Carlsberg Britvic added a new Tropical variant to Lipton Ice Tea's flavored iced tea range in the UK, blending mango and passionfruit, designed to appeal to younger consumers looking for bold soft drink flavors. The company says tropical flavors are performing well in the UK soft drinks market, giving Lipton an opportunity to grow beyond established offerings. It’s available in a 500ml bottle, a 500ml price-marked pack and a 1.25-liter bottle, targeting on-the-go purchases and at-home consumption.
Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I is permanently relaunching Lucozade Energy Grafruitti, a mixed-berry-and-citrus energy drink that first appeared as a limited edition in 2015. It returns as a zero-sugar variant with updated packaging and goes on sale from April 1 in 500ml and 900ml formats across grocery, convenience, wholesale and e-commerce in the UK. Suntory says the relaunch follows persistent consumer demand, including petitions and dedicated social media campaigns calling for the flavor's return. A £2.3 million marketing campaign, running from mid-March, will use consumer-generated content across social media, out-of-home advertising, in-store displays and influencer activity.
Belgium-based mineral water group Spadel is investing in Living Things, a UK prebiotic soda brand established in 2023. Former Coca-Cola executive Kris Robbens and Fulfil Nutrition founder Barry Connolly also participated in the funding round, joining previous investors including BrewDog founder James Watt. Financial terms were not disclosed but Living Things co-founder Ben Vear said the funds will go toward expanding marketing activity and growing the team. Spadel made the investment through its in-house venture capital arm, The Source Ventures. Living Things currently sells in more than a dozen markets, with the UK its largest, and has a medium-term revenue target of at least £100 million.
Talking Rain Beverage Company’s new Sparkling Ice Caffeine Soda Shoppe collection features three flavors inspired by classic soda fountain drinks: Orange Cream, Root Beer and Cherry Cola. Each 16oz can contains 70mg of caffeine as well as vitamins and antioxidants. All three flavors contain zero sugar and use naturally sourced colors and flavors, excluding caramel coloring, phosphoric acid and aspartame. Cherry Cola made its debut as a limited preview at Casey's General Stores last fall, where it won a "best new product" award, and the full collection is currently via Amazon, with a wider retail rollout planned across the US.
