Coca-Cola

Dr Pepper Launches Digital Campaign For Free Soda

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB launched a new digital promotion as part of Dr Pepper's "Try More Weird" campaign, offering consumers a free 500ml bottle of Dr Pepper or Dr Pepper Zerooo. Through a "Can-sultation" via social media ads, users interact with a chatbot to diagnose their "symptoms of boredom" and receive a digital voucher for the free drink if deemed in need of "weird." The promotion, live until October 6th, aims to boost trial of Dr Pepper Zerooo's refreshed taste, increase brand awareness, and drive store footfall.

Coca-Cola Faces Challenges On Reusable Packaging Goals

Coca-Cola faces criticism from environmental groups like Oceana for its slow progress in increasing reusable packaging. Despite pledging that 25 percent of its beverages will be in reusable containers by 2030, Coca-Cola's latest sustainability report shows a decline, with only 14 percent of its total beverage volume in reusable packaging in 2022, down from 16 percent in 2020. Oceana estimates achieving the 25 percent goal could eliminate over 100 billion single-use plastic 500ml bottles and cups. Coca-Cola acknowledges the challenges and highlights efforts like serving drinks in reusable cups during events and making packaging more recyclable. However, the company admits more must be done to meet its sustainability commitments.
