Its continued success is attributed to dynamic marketing efforts, innovative product launches and strategic collaborations, such as its "space-flavored" cola and canned cocktail with Jack Daniel’s. Coca-Cola also holds the highest Sustainability Perceptions Value in the industry, valued at $5.2 billion. Carbonated soft drinks dominate the rankings, with Pepsi, Dr Pepper and Sprite also among the top 10. Pepsi, second to Coca-Cola, saw a 10 percent increase in brand value, reaching $20.2 billion. Nongfu Spring achieved the highest growth, with its brand value doubling to $8.3 billion, driven by the success of its Oriental Leaf RTD tea. The report highlights the non-alcoholic beverage industry's robust growth, fueled by health-conscious consumers and a demand for innovative flavors.
Coca-Cola Canada Bottling has opened a 230,000-square-foot distribution center in east Richmond, the largest in Canada, capable of moving 100,000 cases of product daily. The facility consolidates operations to enhance efficiency and serves thousands of customers across the Lower Mainland. This expansion is part of Coca-Cola Canada’s $230 million investment to boost growth and distribution since becoming an independent bottler six years ago. The Richmond site, which also includes a new bottling line with eco-friendly blow molding technology, underscores the company's commitment to sustainability by reducing transportation needs by 75 percent. The facility, operating 24/6 with a half day on Sundays, can store up to 1.75 million cases and significantly contributes to the local economy by providing 550 jobs and engaging in community partnerships. Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie praised Coca-Cola’s investment, highlighting the benefits of job creation and sustainability. The distribution center is part of the Richmond Industrial Centre, which, when completed, will be Metro Vancouver's largest business park, creating approximately 4,800 jobs.
