Coca-Cola has reported net revenue growth of 5 percent for Q1 2023, driven predominantly by higher prices. Organic revenue was up 12 percent, although operating income declined by 1 percent. Developed markets grew mid-single digits, while developing and emerging markets grew low single digits. Growth in developed markets was led by Mexico, Western Europe and Australia, while growth in developing and emerging markets was led by China, India and Brazil.
Snap, the company behind Snapchat, has partnered with Coca-Cola to create a prototype AR-enabled vending machine, offering augmented reality experiences and rewards to consumers who engage with the machine. The AR ecosystem aims to evolve the way people interact with the Coca-Cola brand across its vending machines, app and website. Other AR features in Snap's shopping suite include 3D Viewer, AR Try-On and Fit Finder.
Coca-Cola is launching Topo Chico Sabores premium sparkling waters made with fruit juice and herbal extracts. The new line aims to provide customers with a premium drinking experience and capture a slice of the growing non-alcoholic beverage category. Topo Chico Sabores will hit stores this month in three flavors: Blueberry with Hibiscus, Tangerine with Ginger and Lime with Mint.

Chamberlain Coffee, a coffee lifestyle brand founded by social media influencer Emma Chamberlain, has launched a line of vegan ready-to-drink lattes available exclusively at Walmart stores. The cold-brew lattes are made with almond milk, coconut cream and date syrup and come in four flavors: Traditional, Vanilla, Mocha and Cinnamon Bun. The beverages are Chamberlain Coffee’s first RTD offerings, which already sells a range of ground coffees, single-serve coffee packets and tea powders.
Melbourne-based Gen U Brands, backed tennis player Nick Kyrgios, has secured a deal to roll out its sugar-free probiotic soft drink with national supermarket chain Coles. Four of the five ALIVE flavors have hit Coles shelves in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, with the remaining states and territories to see the product available from late May. ALIVE is set to launch three additional flavors and expand to the Middle East and China later this year.
Lipton has launched Hard Iced Tea in four flavors: Lemon, Peach, Strawberry and Half & Half. Lipton Hard Iced Tea has a 5% ABV and is made with real brewed Lipton tea, natural fruit flavors and a triple-filtered, premium malt base. All four flavors are available in a 12-can variety pack and Lemon and Peach flavors can also be purchased in single-serve 24oz cans. Lipton Hard Iced Tea is available at national and local retailers and convenience stores in select states.
Blue Bear has launched Sleep, its ready-to-drink canned functional sleep drink. The white peach tea flavored drink contains adaptogens, botanicals and nootropics to help support healthy sleep patterns. With only 5 calories and 0g of sugar, it also contains 5mg of melatonin per can, which is absorbed more quickly in liquid form. The product is available to purchase in four- and 12-packs on Amazon and the company's website.
Artisan water brand Smeraldina was named the world's best water at The Berkeley Springs International Blind Water Tasting. Smeraldina’s water is sourced from the Italian island of Sardinia and naturally filtered through granite rocks on the island. The brand is available in select specialty grocers in the US, with a new Tetra Pak box rolling out soon. The company is working on expanding its distribution while also rolling out new formats.
