Topo Chico To Launch Spirited Line

Molson Coors is doubling Topo Chico's media budget in the hard seltzer category and ramping up paid social for the launch of its new ready-to-drink line, Topo Chico Spirited. These moves come as the company continues to expand beyond beer and marks the fourth line extension in its partnership with The Coca-Cola Company. Topo Chico Spirited is made with real spirits and is set to launch in 22 states in three cocktail-inspired flavors: Tequila & Lime, Tequila & Grapefruit and Vodka & Lemon.

Evian Debuts Club Hydration At Coachella

Evian has launched Club Hydration, an immersive activation inspired by its Sparkling carbonated water. The activation debuted at the Coachella after-party TAO Desert Nights and will pop up at other events across the US throughout the year. The initiative featured a pop-up bar inspired by the French Alps, offering evian Sparkling carbonated water, along with cocktails including the Alpine Spritz and Peaks Paloma.

Keurig Dr Pepper To Expand Reuse And Refill Options

Keurig Dr Pepper has announced plans to expand its “reuse and refill” options across the US. In exchange for its heightened focus on plastic reduction, investment advisor Green Century Funds withdrew a shareholder proposal calling for a reduction in plastic packaging. Under the plan, Keurig Dr Pepper has committed to publishing a yearly “reuse and refill baseline assessment” from 2023, and to launch reuse and refill pilots in key US markets by 2024.

Monster Wins Permanent Injunction Against Bang Energy “Super Creatine” Label

Monster Beverage has won a permanent injunction against Vital Pharmaceuticals’ brand Bang Energy from marketing its drinks as containing “Super Creatine”. The decision follows a $293 million false advertising claim Monster made and won in September against Bang Energy for claiming its beverage contained creatine. A California federal court decided a permanent injunction was required as Bang Energy continued to sell cans with the “Super Creatine” label after the original false advertising verdict.

Nescafé Debuts Ice Roast Coffee

Nescafé is launching Ice Roast, its first-ever soluble coffee designed specifically for consumption with cold water or milk over ice. The coffee is launching in China this month, with Mexico to follow. The launch is in response to a trend of younger generations drinking more cold coffee and wanting to recreate café-style experiences at home.

Kirin Launches Sports Drink That Supports Immune Health

Japanese beverage company Kirin is launching Kirin Plasma Sports, a Food with Function Claims labeled sports nutrition drink with immune health benefits. The beverage contains proprietary functional ingredient Lactococcus lactis strain plasma (LC-Plasma), which can activate plasmacytoid dendritic cells in the immune system. Kirin plans to expand its range of LC-Plasma-containing beverages in the future. 

Tango Targets Gen Z With New Campaign

Tango is launching a multi-million-pound integrated campaign called "Bust" to attract Gen Z consumers. The campaign is the first step in a new, long-term brand platform that dramatizes Tango's "dangerously potent flavor". The campaign includes a 60-second film which focuses on a police raid busting a Tango lab and will run in the UK from 15 April on TV, broadcast video on demand, social, and online video.

Ziggi’s Coffee Launches Canned Energy Drink

Coffee chain Ziggi's Coffee has launched its own canned energy drink called Ziggi's Energy. It’s available at Ziggi’s locations in Original and Zero Sugar variants. The new beverage is used to make Ziggi’s customizable Energy Infusions, which customers can order iced or frozen. Flavors include Shock Melon, Cosmic Blast, Renegade Rush, Just Peachy and Sunbeam. 

VivaStix Launches Instant Energy + Electrolytes Powder

Austin-based health-science nutrition and wellness company VivaStix, has launched its newest product,  Instant Energy + Electrolytes. The on-the-go energy and hydration powder sticks are vegan, sugar-free and made with caffeine, taurine, vitamins and minerals.

Starbucks To Launch RTD Pink Drink Amongst Other New Launches

Starbucks has a variety of new ready-to-drink options set to hit retailers next month. The company will be launching the Pink Drink and Paradise Drink, both inspired by the existing handcrafted beverages offered at their cafes. Both non-dairy beverages are blended with coconut milk, with the Pink Drink featuring strawberry and acai flavors and the Paradise Drink flavored with pineapple and passionfruit. Other new RTD launches include the Frappuccino Mini chilled coffee drink, Doubleshot Energy Caramel, Espresso Americano and White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino.
